WHAT STORY IS THIS – CONTEST

Here is the First Place Winner's Story:

Her home has been captured. Her husband has been killed. Their child was thrown from the highest wall of her kingdom, falling to his death. What more was left for her to do? Not even the ship her husband so valiantly rode in on remains intact. Fire and death surround her, and she is afraid. What more is left, she wonders. She longs to see her husband and son again, the only loves of her life. “What more is left to do, my love, then walk out into the sea and drown? I will see you and our son soon.” And with a smile she walked into the sea, staring ahead at her husband’s burning ship. She closed her eyes, imagining her husband and their son together, waiting for her, and said goodbye to mortality.

FIRST PLACE PRIZE:

2. WILL HAVE THEIR STORY POSTED WITH THE DEVIATION.
